What’s a gal to do when she needs to get some photos of tongues out?
She takes her dog for a little Saltese hiking.
This week’s post is going to:
- Be short and sweet, because dang, things are piling up.
- Not going to include me bitching about Mother Nature
Yes, the sun came out this week.
And it has started to warm a little bit.
Yay!
Out for Saltese hiking
Y’all know by now one of our favorite spots to get some dog photos is at the Saltese Uplands Conservation area.
Mostly because there are so many rocks on which to perch a dog and because the scenery of Spokane Valley, particularly Saltese Flats, is just divine.
It doesn’t hurt that it’s wildflower season.
This week’s focus for the worldwide pet photographers’ blog circle is tongues.
Bella was happy to oblige.
Of course, that meant I was a mean Maremma Mama, making her hike at mid-day in June.

And here’s that amazing scenery I’m talking about:

Thank you, Mother Nature.
All around the circle
Quick and dirty. In and out.
I am hoping to get back to telling some stories that aren’t about us soon.
For now, let’s go see how the other pet photographers have their tongues wagging. Start with Tracy Allard of Penny Whistle Photography fetching pet and family portraits in Coppell, Carrollton and the greater Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex.
Click the link at the bottom of Tracy’s post to get to the next post and so on. When you get back here to dogs and landscapes in Spokane, you know you’re home.
Right where you belong.
Happy Dog Dads Day!
In honor of Fathers Day on Sunday, I launched a Dog Dads Day session this week. It’s designed for that guy in your life who can’t go anywhere without his little buddy.
The session includes 90 minutes of fun with me and my camera, a curved metal desk print, a T-shirt and more.
Check it out and buy it as a gift for the special dog dad in your life.

Bella looks a bit like an “earth bound cloud”, big, white and fluffy!
Bella is so lucky to have such great places to hike. Love the scenery, and her very Bella tongue!
That tongue is something else, isn’t it?
